The Research Group on Cross-Border Cooperation held its latest meeting on June 26, 2025 at the Ludovika Public University Campus. The main focus of the meeting was on the issue of the research group’s long-term sustainability and the mapping of possible cooperation directions. The invited expert, János Matuz (MFOI, senior analyst; LUPS), gave a comprehensive presentation on the challenges and opportunities of international research project applications, highlighting the importance of consortium building.
At the meeting, the participants – including the heads of the research workshop and external partners – shared their own experiences with smaller, experimental resources, as well as applications involving multidisciplinary and non-scientific actors. The evaluation of recently organised professional events (such as TEIN or the Schengen Conference) was discussed, as well as the future of the workshop’s scientific publications and publication strategies. The members remained committed to ensuring that research results are utilised not only in scientific, but also in practical and creative forms – thereby supporting cross-border policy dialogue.
